The 8th International Conference of Engineering Against Failure (ICEAF) took place from 22 to 25 June 2025 in the scenic city of Kalamata, Greece, bringing together experts, researchers, and industry professionals from across the globe. Hosted in an inspiring setting, the conference provided a high-level forum to share scientific and technological advancements focused on the prevention of engineering failure across diverse applications.
The event covered a wide range of critical themes including:
- Structural health monitoring and non-destructive testing
- Failure analysis and identification of root causes
- Design methodologies and materials development
- Additive manufacturing and novel manufacturing approaches
- Machine learning, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and virtual testing
- Cross-sector applications: aerospace, automotive, marine, civil, biomedical, and energy systems
ICEAF aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and foster innovation in failure prevention technologies, with growing emphasis on sustainability, digital engineering, and resilience in structural design.
The conference was co-chaired by Prof. Emeritus Spiros Pantelakis (University of Patras) and Dr. Spyros Diplas (SINTEF), who led the scientific direction of the programme and ensured its high academic and technical quality.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all speakers, chairs, contributors, sponsors, and attendees for their active participation and valuable contributions. Your engagement continues to make ICEAF a cornerstone event in the international engineering community.
This successful event was hosted by E&C Communication Services Ltd., who were proud to support the organisation and delivery of one of the most exciting gatherings in the engineering field.
